When you hear about a well-known steakhouse, you expect a certain level of excellence across the board. Harry & Izzy’s mostly delivers—but not always in the way you might expect.
The reputation is built on quality food, and that part holds true. The steak I ordered was cooked perfectly, with a rich, beefy flavor that didn’t need much enhancement. It’s the kind of dish that reminds you why steakhouses still matter.
But what surprised me was how “normal” everything felt.
The ambiance is nice, but not breathtaking. The service is good, but not exceptional. Even the presentation of the food is simple rather than artistic.
And yet, somehow, it works.

Because what Harry & Izzy’s offers isn’t perfection—it’s consistency in the things that matter most. You get a solid meal, a comfortable environment, and a dining experience that doesn’t try to be something it’s not.
Of course, there are flaws. Timing issues with service can happen. Some dishes may feel less impressive than others. And if you come in expecting a Michelin-star-level experience, you might leave slightly disappointed.
But if you adjust your expectations, you’ll see the value.
This is a restaurant that focuses on delivering a good time, not a perfect one. And in a world where many places try too hard to impress, that simplicity can actually be refreshing.
